With no joining fees or hidden extras, Choice membership packages are fantastic value. With 25 gyms, 16 swimming pools and more than 500 exercise classes a week you don’t have to look far for the perfect fitness routine.

If you use Birmingham Sport & International Events facilities regularly you could save money and hassle with our monthly direct debit scheme.

There are two great packages to choose from - Fitness Choice and Aqua Choice. Both offer fantastic value for money and the more you use them, the more you save!

Students, over 60s and people on a low income can enjoy extra discounts by applying for our Passport to Leisure scheme.

To become a Choice package member, you will first need a Leisure Card, if you already have a Leisure Card you can apply to have either Choice option added to your existing card.

You can apply online for a standard Leisure Card or to have Fitness or Aqua Choice added to an existing card by clicking on one of the links below. Each one opens the same form, they can just be viewed in 3 different ways:

The application will be processed and forwarded to your chosen site within 7 days. All you need to do then is contact your chosen site and book your gym induction (if applying for Fitness Choice) or turn up at your chosen site to swim if you have applied for Aqua Choice. On your first visit after applying online, you will be asked to complete a direct debit mandate and pay an initial fee to cover the period up until your first direct debit payment is due. Your Choice package will be valid immediately.

• Payments will be debited from your bank account on, or shortly after, the first day of each month
• Should an application for a direct debit payment be declined, Choice membership will be suspended until the account is paid in full
• Minimum contract period three months
• At least 28 days notice must be given, in writing, for cancellation of the contract
• No refund will be given in the event that facilities are not used
• All activities and classes are offered subject to availability
• A charge may be levied for replacement of lost cards
• Passport to Leisure (PTL) Choice membership must renew their PTL membership every 12 months. If you cease to qualify for PTL, the full Choice Package price will apply

• This Guarantee is offered by all Banks and Building Societies that take part in the Direct Debit Scheme. The efficiency and security of the scheme is monitored and protected by your own Bank or Building Society
  
• If the amounts to be paid or the payment dates change, Birmingham City Council will notify you 28 days in advance of your account being debited or as otherwise agreed
  
• If an error is made by Birmingham City Council or your Bank or Building Society, you are guaranteed a full and immediate refund from your branch of the amount paid
  
• You can cancel your Direct Debit at any time by writing to your Bank or Building Society. Please also send a copy of your letter to us
