What do I do next?

Our leisure facilities are open every day from early till late, which provides you with an opportunity to work around education/college commitments.

Once qualified your prospects of getting work as a Leisure Assistant/Lifeguard are excellent.

What does the job involve?

The job of a leisure assistant is to lifeguard our swimming pools, set up various equipment for a variety of activities and maintain the cleanliness of our facilities whilst ensuring we meet all health & safety legislative requirements.

What would be my general role and responsibilities?

  •  Patrol pools. Being alert and proactive at all times.
  •  Demonstrate a caring and professional image to our customers.
  •  Present self clean and smart at all times.
  •  Carry out cleaning duties to a high standard.
  •  Set up equipment correctly and safely in accordance with the activity programme.
  •  Undertake training relevant to the post.
  •  Work positively with and be supportive of colleagues.

What is the nature of the job?

Rotas can be:

  •  Inclusive of some evenings, weekends and bank holidays.
  •  Flexible:- As and when required. Usually covered by casual staff
  •  Static:- Same hours each week.
  •  Rolling:- Working around 2 or 3 week shift patterns.

Are there any pre-requisite qualifications / skills / abilities I need?

Skills & Abilities:-

  •  Ability to be punctual is essential.
  •  Enjoy working with people in a leisure environment.
  •  A strong swimmer!
