Swimming - General

People swim for lots of reasons - to keep fit, to work off the stresses of the day or just for fun.

Swimming is a great way to get fit. Whatever your age, shape or ability it helps improve your muscle tone, increases your stamina and strengthen your heart muscles.

For serious swimmers, all our pools offer regular lane sessions. Where possible, seperate lanes are allocated to fast, medium and slow swimming.

Keen swimmers should check out our fitness Swimming programme - a structured plan you can follow at your own pace. Easy to follow programme cards give comprehensive advice on every stage of your routine and you progress through the different levels at your own pace. Ask at your local pool for more information.
