Opened in 1994 by Sir Cliff Richard, the centre is part of the
Indoor Tennis Initiative formed through a partnership between
the Lawn tennis Association and Birmingham City Council, the aim
of which is to provide pay and play courts as well as a venue
for tennis coaching and competition.
The centre boasts six indoor courts, eight outdoor floodlit courts and a Pulse Point Gym. It is recognised as Birmingham's finest pay and
play tennis centre, a Warwickshire Lawn Tennis Association County
Coaching and High Performance Centre and a venue for international fixtures.
