SPORT Birmingham - Hockey

Jane Sixsmith has been employed as Hockey Development Officer since 1999.

If you are aged between 8-11 years old then the "TOPS" scheme is for you.
Take part in regular after school coaching delivered by qualified coaches at your school and experience the exciting festival.

For older pupil's aged 11-15 then the Active Sports Programme is for you, attend coaching centres weekly and take part in the 7-a-side league at a venue near you.

Zone Hockey

We are currently developing Zone Hockey, which is an adapted version of hockey for people with disabilities and can be as inclusive as you want it to be. It is a 5-a-side game that can be played either indoors or outdoors.

Coach Education & Developement

The coach education and development programme is an integral part of the hockey strategy and is fundamental to the continual training, recruitment and deployment of coaches and umpires to service the growing needs.
We currently offer Level 1 and 2 coaching courses and umpiring courses at Foundation and Level 1.
