- Parents/Guardians must be paying Council Tax to Birmingham
City Council or have children attending Birmingham LEA Schools
to qualify for this entitlement
- Children must be over four and under sixteen years of age.
(Children under four automatically receive free swimming)
- All the relevant sections of the application form must be filled in
and a photograph of the child taken at the time of registration for
identification purposes. (The photo is not reproduced on the card)
- The Leisure Card and free swimming is only valid at Birmingham
City Council swimming pools and Leisure Centres. For details of
your nearest centre please call 0121 464 2012
- A valid Swim 4 Free Leisure Card must be produced at reception
in order to gain free entry to the swimming pool, otherwise normal
charges will apply
- The City Council reserves the right to withdraw the use of this
card if the rules and conditions of the swimming pools are not
adhered to
- An administration fee will be charged for lost or replacement cards
- Free swimming at Birmingham City Council swimming pools is
subject to availability and is only available during general swimming
sessions. Please contact your nearest pool for more details
- The Leisure Card is not transferable
- Children under eight must be accompanied in and around the
pool by responsible adult at all times. An adult cannot supervise
more than two children under the age of eight at any one time
- The administration of the free swimming scheme is registered
with the Data Protection Registrar in accordance with the Data
Protection Act 1998
- The Kids Swim4Free scheme may be withdrawn at any time by
Birmingham City Council. Swim25 prizes and rewards are
subject to availability and may be withdrawn at any time
- The Kids Swim4Free scheme does not apply to swimming
lessons provided by Strokes swimming instruction. However
children enrolled on a Strokes swimming course are entitled to
free swimming whilst they are enrolled on the course. This
may be withdrawn at any time by Birmingham City Council
